Box Blending

Erin from Royal Baloo and Logi Bear Too linked a fun idea on the Show & Tell! Her son created a “new” way to practice Word Families by their Education Cubes and a box! Click on the photo below to check out Baloo’s idea! He spent 30 minutes of blending sounds all while having FUN!

Vowel Blends

The most recent addition to the Education Cubes Members Only site are the Vowel Blend insert cards! Included are five sets of cards; one for each of the vowels {a,e,i,o,u}, paired with all the consonants.

Does your little one need some extra practice with blending consonants and vowels? Add some active fun by using the Vowel Blend insert cards! Roll a blend and then call out a word beginning with the sound. Or use the Vowel Blend insert cards in one cube and various consonants from the Lowercase Alphabet insert cards in another cube. Roll both cubes and say the word formed! There are tons of possibilities!

1+1+1=1 Raising Rock Stars Preschool {COMPLETED} Insert Cards

There are some new Education Cubes insert cards on the Members Only Site that I am SUPER excited to share with you! If you are using the Raising Rock Stars Preschool Curriculum, then this one is for you! I have partnered with Carisa from 1+1+1=1 and have COMPLETED the insert cards designed to be used along with the RRSP curriculum

High-flying Alphabet Fun

Check out the high-flying fun over on Room 4 at Least 1 More! They used the Uppercase/Lowercase Alphabet insert cards along with a large foam alphabet mat and came up with a fun active game to practice letter sounds! Dress a Weather Bear

Tamara from All of a Kind Family linked up this super cute activity on our weekly Show & Tell. It was so cute, I just had to share!

10 Frame Counting

The most recent addition to the Education Cubes Members Only site are the 10 Frame Counting cards insert cards.

There are two versions, both shown above. The dots are added vertically on the first and horizontally on the second. The second set is great for working on doubles!

Bear Hug Counting

I posted on Totally Tots about a fun little game that I played with my boys to go along with the book Golden Bear by Ruth Young. We used a bunch of teddy bears and the Teddy Bear Counting insert cards to work on counting and one-to-one correspondence. Shapes, Shapes & More Shapes

The most recent additions to the Education Cubes Members Only Site are the Shape insert cards. For some reason I kept forgetting to make these, but they are finally complete! 

Basic Shapes Names

There are 11 sets of Shape insert cards included:

  • Basic Shapes Blue

There are tons of ways to use these insert cards! For early learners, the child can simply roll the cube and identify the shape. Or, you could ask the child to find something in the room that is the same shape. The possibilities are endless!

Spaceship Colors

Color Matching Game {using tongs & straws}

Nutcracker Number Matching

Airamty from My Little Princess World and her little girl used the Number insert cards along with some nutcracker printables that she saw on The Activity Mom (which came from PreKinders) to practice counting and matching!

Roll the nutcracker cube and count the nutcrackers. Now, find the corresponding number on the other cube. Click on the picture above to see the Nutcracker Number Matching in action!

Confessions of a Homeschooler’s LETTER OF THE WEEK Insert Cards

As promised, there are some new Education Cubes insert cards on the Members Only Site that I am SUPER excited to share with you! I have partnered with Erica from Confessions of a Homeschooler to bring to you three awesome sets of insert cards to go along with her Letter of the Week Preschool Curriculum!

Searching for Colors!

Use your Education Cubes to guide you on a color search by using the Color Names insert cards!

Education Cubes

Add six color name cards into one cube. Roll the cube and hunt for items that are the same color as the color word on the cube!
