Response Requested: Creative Writing Prompts & Story Starters

I’m in the process of creating writing prompt/story starter insert cards and would love to hear your suggestions! Please leave a comment and chime in with the creative writing prompts that you would like to see included on the Education Cubes insert cards!

To give you an idea of what I am looking for, here are some story starter ideas:

On my way home from the dentist...

I woke up in the middle of the night to a very strange noise...

Out of the corner of my eye I saw something streak past the playroom door...

I woke up feeling quite strange...

Here are some ideas for creative writing prompts:

Describe your perfect day!

What would you do if you could fly?

If you could meet anyone from history, who would it be?

Please chime in with the creative writing prompts and/or story starters that you would like to see on insert cards!

Thank you Aggie L. for this wonderful suggestion!!!

  5. I think to include the tots, picture story starter cards would be fun!!! Think "a dog sitting by a pond watching a duck" or "a T-rex jumping on a trampoline"...the posibilities are endless.

Also you could try just a simple version of Rory's story cubes:

...with just 4 blocks even little tots could narrate a simple, imaginative story with the "big kids" using all of the pictures!
